One last day in Minneapolis... and a grand one it is! Today we checked out the Walker Art Center in Loring Park and scoped the sculpture gardens... both spots were outta-sight! The museum immediately became one of my favourite contemporary collections in the country. The work is phenomenal, the space is beautiful, and the people repped the Minnesota Nice attitude I've been hearing so much about...
In the afternoon, we took the pups to a park in north by Mark & Sarah's place... played a little baseball and got ready for the show...
Ah yes, and The Black Keys at the legendary First Avenue downtown... Prince's hometown club and set for Purple Rain. The BK's packed the hot, sweaty rock club and threw a ripping party for the sold out crowd! I love this place... kinda reminds me of Cervante's (Denver) but bigger and cooler... And, what would our Minneapolis bender be without grilling steaks at 4:am and being up for another sunrise...
